With the nearing release of ‘We Live in Time’, Andrew Garfield appeared for an episode on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. Discussing various topics of his upcoming release, Garfield mentioned how Heath Ledger once foretold him about ‘The Dark Knight’s success.
The actor recalled crossing paths with Ledger after filming ‘The Dark Knight’. Garfield narrated, “I was like, ‘How did that go?’ and he was like, ‘Yeah, it’s really good.’” He continued, “He was so smug about it.” The actor passed away in 2008 due to a drug overdose six months before ‘The Dark Knight’ was released. Ledger’s performance as Joker is one of the most celebrated in Hollywood.

Andrew Garfield worked with Heath Ledger on the 2009 fantasy film ‘The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’ and remembers everything the late actor taught him. He said, “I remember his like, Empire magazine cover came out and he was like, ‘Oh, they used a fucking shit photo’.”
He continued, “And I was like, ‘Are you kidding me, dude that looks fucking incredible.’ And he was like, ‘Nah, the pose is all wrong, it looks kinda like a conventional version of what an actor…you’ll see.’ And yeah, I did see.”
