While ‘Peaky Blinders‘ has emerged as a highly loved show over the years, director Tom Harper gave fans great news when he hinted at a movie installation of the franchise in 2021, before the sixth and final season of the show was released.
Later, in 2024, Netflix came with the final announcement related to the movie with Cillian Murphy reprising his role as Thomas Shelby. The movie is set to bring a stellar cast together and fans are already excited for it. Barry Keoghan, an interesting addition to the cast, recently shared that he read the script for it and believes it’s “epic”. Here’s everything he said about it.

At the Toronto International Film Festival, Barry Keoghan was speaking with Indie Wire after the premiere of his film ‘Bird‘, when he also opened up about his highly anticipated upcoming project. Barry and the ‘Bird‘ director Andrea Arnold talked about their future projects while also discussing the upcoming ‘Peaky Blinders‘ film.
Though the details of the movie are kept under wraps, Barry teased that he has read the script. “I wouldn’t be attached to it if I didn’t [read the script],” Keoghan said. “But yeah, I read the script and loved it and have chatted to Cillian about it and it’s going to be epic.“

Moreover, he also gave an update on Trey Edward Shults’ film starring singer, The Weeknd and Jenna Ortega. “That’s completed and we’re just waiting on some good news to drop,” Keoghan said. “So stay tuned, you say in America”.

Andrea Arnold’s ‘Bird‘ recently celebrated its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. The movie follows twelve-year-old Bailey as she comes of age on the fringes leaving with her father Bug, played by Barry Keoghan, on the other side of the town with her mother and sisters.
“People accept and trust,” director Andrea Arnold said about the film during the Cannes Film Festival back in May this year. “You don’t have to imagine or force yourself to believe certain things,” she added.

Both talked about their experience while doing the film as well as about their future projects. “It was, it was questionable at the moment because she would ask us to do certain things because we didn’t know the full script,” Arnold said about filmmaking.
“So when we found out, we were like, ‘What?’ And then now [when] we watch it back, all of it just fell into place, and it made sense. You believe this is like, honest to God,” she said.
