Hayden Christensen first appeared as the Star Wars villain 15 years ago. After so many years he reprised his role as Darth Vader in ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’. Christensen already admitted to the fans of the franchise that he was done with the role. So honestly it was a shock for the fans when he appeared as the Darth Vader in ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’. There are rumors that he will return to the screen again as Darth Vader in the future Star Wars projects currently under development.
Darth Vader is the most iconic supervillain among the fictional characters. He is the main antagonist and also the main protagonist as Anakin Skywalker. Anakin is originally a Jedi whose purpose is to bring balance to the Force. But unfortunately, he surrenders to the dark side under the influence of Darth Sidious. He then turns into the Sith Lord and takes the name of Darth Vader. Fans loved the portrayal of the super villain by Hayden Christensen in the original trilogy.

Hayden Christensen Says He Wants To See Darth Vader Without Any Hint Of Anakin
Hayden Christensen returned to the Star Wars franchise as the Darth Vader in ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ after 15 years. When The Hollywood Reporter asked him what were his future plans for the character and whether he would want a series exclusively of the character. To that, he replied “Absolutely” he would like the character to reach its peak. “To get to do more with this character would be amazing!” When asked about Darth Vader’s current situation the actor said that the super villain currently is on a mission to remove whatever of Anakin is left in him.
“Yes, I always see Anakin as a through line and an undercurrent to this character,” the actor continued. “Vader is trying his best to kill off that side of him, but there always has to be a little bit of Anakin in there. And that presents itself, and that’s a part of the fun. I’m always thinking about the Anakin aspect of this character.” This statement has sparked excitement in the fans and they can’t wait for the further events to unfold soon.
What Did The Darth Vader Actor Feel When The Lucasfilm Approached Him?
Hayden also mentioned that it came as a surprise when Lucasfilm approached him again after he made it clear that he had no interest in the role. “It was definitely a surprise. You know, for the longest time, no, I didn’t think I’d be stepping back into this role again,” the Darth Vader actor told HeyUGuys. “But certainly, in the back of my head for a little bit, I was maybe hopeful that one day such an opportunity might present itself.”
“This whole project was a surprisingly emotional experience,” Christensen continued. “This is a character that means so much to me, and to other people as well. This is a character that has resonated in our popular culture in a very unique way, so getting to continue my journey with Darth Vader has been so cool.”
