It’s one thing to lose a debate, and another to be ridiculed for the person who coached you into the mess. That’s exactly what happened to former Hawaii Representative Tulsi Gabbard, who found herself in the hot seat after Donald Trump’s disastrous debate performance.
Once a 2020 Democratic primary candidate, Gabbard was now being roasted as the woman behind Trump’s cringe-worthy attempt at taking on Kamala Harris. While Trump’s supporters were left scratching their heads, trying to make sense of the chaos. Social media users wasted no time in tearing Gabbard apart.
Tulsi Gabbard Faces The Heat Ahead Of Presidential Polls
As soon as the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris ended, the internet exploded with jabs aimed directly at Gabbard. “Shout out to Tulsi Gabbard for her brilliant debate prep – and to RFK Jr., for lending Trump his brain worm,” one X user quipped. “Well done you two!!!“
The hits kept on coming. A sarcastic commenter chimed in, “Gabbard’s career as a debate coach didn’t even last a whole Scaramucci.” The infamous ten-day term of Anthony Scaramucci as White House communications director became a fitting metaphor for Gabbard’s short-lived tenure as Trump’s debate savior.
It wasn’t just anonymous internet trolls getting in on the fun. A staffer from Kamala Harris’s team couldn’t resist adding fuel to the fire. They tweeted, “On behalf of Democrats everywhere, I’d like to thank Tulsi Gabbard for her hard work tonight.”
Politicians Join In To Roast Tulsi Gabbard
Not to be left out, Tommy Vietor, a former Obama staffer, didn’t hold back his criticism either. “Feel confident saying Trump got worked in that debate,” Vietor tweeted.
“Prepping by holding ‘policy sessions’ with idiots like @mattgaetz and @TulsiGabbard was a fatal mistake. He looked angry, swallowed the bait every time, and his rants about eating animals and crowd size tanked in dials.”

Despite the endless mockery online, Gabbard wasn’t backing down. Taking to X, she attempted to defend Trump’s performance, stating that the debate was “three vs one“, accusing ABC News moderators of favoring Kamala Harris. The irony? ABC News actually gave Trump eight more minutes of speaking time than Harris.
