As the presidential elections approach, several celebrities across the entertainment fraternity are holding no bars while expressing their opinions. While Olivia Rodrigo recently showed her support for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, Jennifer Aniston also voiced her concerns against J.D. Vance, who Donald Trump has chosen as his running mate.
Joining the ranks is Cardi B, who came to the defense of Harris, slamming critics who question Harris’s qualifications based on her past relationships. Her reaction comes months after she stated she supports neither Joe Biden nor Donald Trump. Here’s what she said to support Harris.
Cardi B Stands Up For Kamala Harris Amid Heavy Scrutiny Over Past
Cardi B took to Twitter on Tuesday to call out trolls from conservative circles who have been slamming Kamala Harris since President Joe Biden endorsed her for the 2024 presidential race after stepping down. As she called out the trolls, she did not mince words.
“What does Kamala Harris husband or relationships have to do wit [sic] her credentials? Do y’all hire people based on who they f***ing??” she wrote. Her frustration with the misogynistic narrative being pushed by some of Donald Trump’s supporters was evident from her sharp comments.
Kamala Harris has been subjected to heavy criticism, with many accusing her of leveraging personal relationships for professional gain. The scrutiny also includes attacks on Harris’s laugh, race, and gender, but it has also extended to her dating history.

Donald Trump’s Supporters Are Trolling Kamala Harris’ Based On Her Past Relationships
Kamala Harris’ personal relationships in the past are being discussed more than ever since she entered the presidential race. Before being elected as San Francisco’s district attorney in 2004, Harris had a decade-long relationship with Willie Brown, the then-speaker of the California State Assembly who later became San Francisco’s mayor. Brown himself confirmed their relationship in a 2019 article, stating, “Yes, we dated. It was more than 20 years ago.”
Some critics are now falsely claiming that Harris had an affair with Brown while he was still married. The rumors have however been trashed by The Associated Press, which clarified that Brown had been separated from his wife since 1982, which was way before he and Harris started dating in the 1990s.
Moreover, Harris’s relationship with Montel Williams has also been a topic of discussion. Trump supporters have been circulating a tweet with a video from 2001 showing Harris and Williams holding hands with two women on the red carpet. Williams clarified that the other “woman” was his teenage daughter, Ashley.
Kamala Harris is currently married to entertainment lawyer Doug Emhoff. The two have no children from their marriage of 10 years, but Harris is a devoted stepmother to Emhoff’s two adult children, Cole and Ella.
