Since the South African Tech billionaire, Elon Musk sealed the $44 billion Twitter deal, his Twitter activity has increased exponentially. There have been many spats that Musk has been a part of. Be it Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates for his donations for inoculation, US President Joe Biden for his taxation policies and handling of inflation. Along with these, he has had beef with the US Congresswoman, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez aka AOC. Recently, he challenged the Democrat to conduct a poll for their followers to see who they are wary of: Politicians or Billionaires?
Elon Musk Dares AOC To Run A Similar Poll
On Thursday, the Tesla owner ran a poll on his Twitter handle for his followers about who they trust less with two alternatives i.e., Politicians or Billionaires? After a few hours, people responded in huge numbers to the poll with the result that Politicians are less trustworthy. He did not stop there. Musk went ahead and dared AOC to run a similar poll on her Twitter account tagging her.

When Elon bought Twitter, he wanted to have a “moderate takeover” of the micro-blogging application neither appeasing the left nor the right-wing. But, in recent days, he is staunchly criticizing the policies and representatives of Democrats. The business tycoon reprimanded Joe Biden for his remedy for the rising inflation. But, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been the constant target of his sarcastic tweets. In a now-deleted tweet, AOC condemned the billionaires for their monopoly on social communication sites.
She wrote, “Tired of having to collectively stress about what explosion of hate crimes is happening bc some billionaire with an ego problem unilaterally controls a massive communication platform and skews it because Tucker Carlson or Peter Thiel took him to dinner and made him feel special.” Musk thought she took a jib on him, so he wrote, “Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy.” Alexandria busted his bubble and replied, “I was talking about Zuckerberg but ok.”
AOC Desires To Switch To Other EV From Musk Owned Tesla
In a Bloomberg interview, Alexandria expressed her desire to switch her Tesla Electric Vehicle. AOC wants an alternative brand made by unionized workers. Currently, Bolt EUV and Chevrolet Bolt are two EVs made by unionized workers. She said, “At the time, it (Tesla) was the only EV that could get me from New York to Washington on like one or one-and-a-half charges. I would love to switch.”
This was not the first time that Elon Musk criticized AOC. The week after the flirting tweet, the SpaceX owner interpreted the controversial Met Gala dress of the representative in 2021. She wore a white gown designed by Brother Vellies which had “Tax The Rich” splashed on it. However, Musk tweeted, about the picture, “Can read only one side. Looks like “ax the itch”? “
