Thor: Love And Thunder: Identity Of Every Entity From The “Temple Of Cosmic Beings” Revealed

A month back, Marvel released the teaser of Thor: Love And Thunder. In no time, it became a fan favorite garnering 209 million views in 24 hours. Yesterday, Marvel released the first official trailer of the film during the NBA Eastern Conference Finals on ESPN. Fans praised the return of Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Natalie Portman as Thor’s ex-girlfriend Mighty Thor along with The Guardians Of the Galaxy.

The antagonist Gorr The God Butcher is set out on a rampage to kill the gods in the world. In the trailer’s final seconds, we could see Thor wielding the power of thunder in the Temple of Cosmic amidst some entities. So, who are these entities? Let’s find out.

The Abstract Entities You Missed In The Trailer Of Thor: Love And Thunder

Marvel has been constantly striving to bring an eccentric and abstract take on the universe. With Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love And Thunder, we may witness the eccentricity that Marvel had envisioned. The Guardians Of the Galaxy helped to achieve the aim to bring the Comic abstractness to the big screen. The recent Doctor Strange In the Multiverse Of Madness brought the noir and horror genres to the Cinematic Universe. Marvel successfully brought the powerful earthlings to the big screen who possess power equivalent to God. However, there were no signs of bringing certain entities that were beyond earth with ultimate powers.

When Thanos possesses the gauntlet, every matter, and aspect that comprises the earth comes into his control. That includes time, space, matter, etc, that makes the earth. Certain superheroes manipulated these aspects of the earth like Doctor Strange in Spiderman: No Way Home. But, in the Comics, some entities are these aspects and the new Thor has encapsulated the Greek mythological gods and the Marvel Cosmic entities. Following are the entities presented as easter eggs in the new trailer of Thor: Love And Thunder

On The Left Side Of Mighty Thor:

    Death

    Lady Death
    Lady Death

A female entity that took birth along with the creation of the universe is symbolized by decay and destruction. God created Death to have his creation of the universe accepted by the living beings. She is formless and is a fundamental force. Her form is transforming in every dimension. In human reality, she appears as a skeleton. Realm Of Death is the abode of Death where no one from a human reality can access it. There is an allusion of Death to Thanos. Because, in Greek mythology, Thanatos is regarded as the God of Death.

    Eternity

Eternity is the embodiment of the universe. Its appearance can be traced to the early tales of Strange, where Doctor Strange seeks help to defeat Baron Mordo, who attacks Ancient One, the master of mystic arts. Dormammu, the trans-dimensional entity who can sweep the multiverse as he possesses apocalyptic powers, aids Baron. During this time, Doctor Strange encounters Eternity. The entity becomes the advisor to Strange, who later defeats Mordo.

    Infinity

    Infinity
    Infinity

The deity of Infinity debuts in the Thor comic in 1975 created by John Buscema and Stan Lee. It presents itself in the form of a woman, but like Death, it changes its form depending on the dimensions it appears in and every dimension has its version of Infinity. Infinity encapsulates space. Oblivion is its counterpart.

On The Right Side Of Mighty Thor:

    Living Tribunal

    The multi-headed Living Tribunal
    The multi-headed Living Tribunal

The Marvel Cinematic Universe comprises various realities, and dimensions, and is home to the multiverse. The Living Tribunal is the governing head of the multiverse. The Tribunal has the control of four entities of reality i.e., Death, Oblivion, Infinity, and Eternity. It again appeared in the Strange Tales, where he passes a judgment that Marvel’s Earth 616 is dangerous to inhibit, and Strange helps the multi-faced god understand that the place has potential. This leads to a reversal of the decision.

    Uatu The Watcher

    Uatu from The Watcher’s race

The Watcher is an advanced, extraterrestrial being that exists beyond space and time. It is a keeper of the events of past, present, and future. Uatu belongs to the race of The Watchers. They took the duty on themselves to perpetuate the underdeveloped races. They provided Prosilicans the atomic power, which they used in the genocide. It infuriated Ikor, Uatu’s father, who promulgated that The Watchers will be the passive observers of the planet Earth and other realities. Uatu was given the responsibility to prevent any harmful entity from another dimension from attacking the Earth.
