    ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’: The Story Of Real Lion King Mufasa “Born Without A Drop Of Nobility In His Blood”

    Disney has dropped the first trailer for ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’. The movie will serve as the prequel to the widely popular ‘The Lion King’. Fans already know the story of Mufasa’s son Simba, but now it is time for fans to know how Mufasa became the king of the pride.

    In addition to the glorious king, the story will also feature Mufasa’s evil younger brother Scar who kills him to become the new king. ‘Lion King’ is one of the most valuable properties of Disney. The first 1994 movie made $960 million and 2019’s photorealistic remake grossed $1.6 billion worldwide.

    Mufasa’s Rise To Heroic King

    Before the trailer was released globally, the ‘Moonlight’ director Barry Jenkins showed the trailer of ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ at the CinemaCon. He claimed that this movie is very personal to him and revealed he has seen 1994’s ‘The Lion King’ 200 times with his nieces and nephew.

    The hardcore fans of ‘The Lion King’ know the musical legacy this movie has. Songs like ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight’ and ‘Hakuna Matata’ are some of the fan-favorite songs that they still love.

    The famous famous songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda will be writing the songs of ‘Mufasa: The Lion King. Lin-Manuel Miranda in a statement said,

    “Elton John. Tim Rice. Hans Zimmer. Lebo M. Mark Mancina. Beyoncé, Labrinth, Ilya Salmanzadeh. Beau Black, Ford Riley, the incredible music team on ‘The Lion Guard,’ and so many musical contributors over the years. ‘The Lion King’ has an incredible musical legacy with music from some of the greatest songwriters around, and I’m humbled and proud to be a part of it.”

    He continued, “It’s been a joy working alongside Barry Jenkins to bring Mufasa’s story to life, and we can’t wait for audiences to experience this film in theatres.”

    Plot, Voice Cast And Release Date Of ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’

    Rafiki, the Royal Mjuzi of the Pride Lands, narrates the story of the greatest king of the Pride Lands, Mufasa to Simba and Nala’s daughter Kiara. The story will take fans on a flashback to the life of Mufasa, an orphaned cub, who lives a carefree life.

    He later meets the Taka (young Scar) who is the rightful heir to the Royal Bloodline. It will explore how Mufasa, a cub “Born Without A Drop Of Nobility In His Blood”, takes his brother Taka’s destined throne.

    The voice cast ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ returning voice actors from 2019’s ‘The Lion King’ including John Kani as Rafiki, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Billy Eichner as Timon, Donald Glover as Simba and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala. In addition to these, Beyoncé’s daughter, Blue Ivy will be voicing Simba and Nala’s daughter Kiara.

    In addition to these, the new cast includes  Tiffany Boone as Sarabi; Kagiso Lediga as Young Rafiki; Preston Nyman as Zazu; Mads Mikkelsen as Kiros, a formidable lion with big plans for his pride; Thandiwe Newton as Taka’s mother, Eshe; Lennie James as Taka’s father, Obasi; Anika Noni Rose as Mufasa’s mother, Afia; and Keith David as Mufasa’s father, Masego.

    The movie will be released on December 20, 2024.
