    The Lord of the Rings‘ fans can rejoice as they can finally embark on a brand new journey back to Middle-earth. Peter Jackson’s iconic trilogy is set to make a return to the big screen this summer. The news got even more exciting as Warner Bros. and Fathom Events announced that they have joined forces to bring audiences the beloved fantasy blockbuster with an interesting twist.

    With ‘The Lord of the Rings‘ being one of the most popular and beloved fantasy franchises, fans have been wanting more of the production based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s novels. The wait is over, and here’s all that they can expect.

    ‘The Lord of the Rings’ Set To Make It Back To The Screen

    With the brand new version of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ set to hit the screens soon, there’s an interesting twist to the new version. This time around, Jackson’s extended editions of the films will be even more breathtaking with 4K Ultra HD remastering done in 2020.

    As per the official announcement, the screenings of the film will take place over three consecutive days at participating Fathom Events chains, including AMC, Cinemark, and Regal. the screening will kick off on June 8 with ‘The Fellowship of the Ring, followed by ‘The Two Towers‘ on June 9, and will conclude with ‘The Return of the King‘ on June 10. The cinematic event would be no less than a visual feast for the fans of Middle-earth will want to miss.

    However, that’s not all Tolkien and the film enthusiasts have to look forward to this year. The highly anticipated drama series based on the franchise, ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ is set to return with its second season on Prime Video. Though an official premiere date is yet to be announced,  a fall or winter release is likely.

    Moreover, Warner Bros. has another exciting project in the works with ‘The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim’ is an anime film set in the same universe as Jackson’s trilogy. Titled ‘The War of the Rohirrim‘, the film is set for a release on December 13.

    The animated film will tell a story that revolves around the rich history of Rohan, focusing on the legendary King Helm Hammerhand. With Miranda Otto reprising her role as Éowyn, fans can expect some deep diving into the world of lore and mythology of Middle-earth.
