Donald Trump has long said and proved that he does not like the people who do not like him. Therefore, his reaction to the release of his biopic, ‘The Apprentice‘, could be seen from a mile away. The film revolves around the early years of Trump in his family’s business and the influence of the lawyer, Roy Cohn on him.
Trump stated that his and his first wife Ivana Trump’s portrayal in the film is incorrect and fictional. However, director, Ali Abbasi answered the politician’s grievances in a tactful comment. Here’s what Donald Trump said about ‘The Apprentice’.
Donald Trump Claims ‘The Apprentice’ Is Incorrect And Fictional
Donald Trump had been skeptical of ‘The Apprentice’ since it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May. With its release, the Republican gave some strong opinions on the biopic on his Truth Social account. He wrote, “A FAKE and CLASSLESS Movie written about me, called, The Apprentice (Do they even have the right to use that name without approval?), will hopefully “bomb.””
He continued, “It’s a cheap, defamatory, and politically disgusting hatchet job, put out right before the 2024 Presidential Election, to try and hurt the Greatest Political Movement in the History of our Country, “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” The US Presidential elections are scheduled to be held on November 5, 2024.
Trump came to defend his late wife, Ivana. He wrote, “My former wife, Ivana, was a kind and wonderful person, and I had a great relationship with her until the day she died. The writer of this pile of garbage, Gabe Sherman, a lowlife and talentless hack, who has long been widely discredited, knew that, but chose to ignore it.”
Director Ali Abbasi Is Ready To Talk To Donald Trump About The Movie
‘The Apprentice’ director Ali Abbasi seems to have expected the backlash from Donald Trump. The Republican wrote, “So sad that HUMAN SCUM, like the people involved in this hopefully unsuccessful enterprise, are allowed to say and do whatever they want in order to hurt a Political Movement, which is far bigger than any of us. MAGA2024!”
Abbasi took to X to reply to Trump’s comment. He wrote, “Thanks for getting back to us, Donald Trump. I am available to talk further if you want.”

The director concluded, “Today is a tight day with a lot of press for ‘The Apprentice,’ but I might be able to give you a call tomorrow.” Earlier, Trump’s campaign had also indicated to file a lawsuit against the film. However, Abbasi claimed, “I don’t necessarily think that this is a movie he would dislike.”
‘The Apprentice’ released in cinemas on October 11.
