The fiasco between Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears has been gaining more traction since the release of the latter’s memoir ‘The Woman In Me‘. The two music stars were a hit Hollywood couple until they eventually broke up after a three-year relationship in 2002. While the feud was reflected in Timberlake’s interviews and his songs frequently, Spears has now opened up about their relationship in her memoir.
With some dark secrets in the public domain through ‘The Woman In Me‘, Justin Timberlake instantly became a matter of scrutiny for many. Several of Britney’s fans slammed him for “shaming” Spears in the music video of his song ‘Cry Me A River‘. As Timberlake retracted, the fans are now blaming him for playing the victim in the scenario.
Justin Timberlake Continues To Receive Backlash After Release Of Britney Spears’ Memoir
Justin Timberlake is once again facing the heat from Britney Spears’ fans, who are this time criticizing him for pretending to be the victim in the longstanding drama. According to an insider, the ‘Mirror‘ singer is feeling frustrated as the ongoing drama with his ex-girlfriend Spears is taking the spotlight away from his new music.
This frustration is clearly reflected in his behavior. During a recent free concert in New York City to celebrate his 43rd birthday, Timberlake made a defiant statement on stage before performing ‘Cry Me a River,‘ — a song widely believed to be about his breakup with Spears.
In a widely circulated online video, Timberlake boldly said, “I want to apologize to absolutely f*****g nobody.” Spears’s fans interpreted it as a response to her recent apology in her memoir, ‘The Woman In Me‘ where she has largely addressed their past relationship in both positive and negative tones.

The singer has been facing such criticism since October 2023 after Spears detailed in her book that she had an abortion during their relationship. She claimed that Timberlake “definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy” and “didn’t want to be a father.” Timberlake has not yet publicly addressed these claims.
