Did Taylor Swift Hint At A Secret Miscarriage On ‘Midnights’?
Taylor Swift fans think one of the most emotional songs on her latest album, ‘Midnights‘, could reference a secret miscarriage. ‘Bigger Than The Whole Sky,’ a bonus track on the ‘3am’ edition of the just-released CD, describes a heart-breaking loss, although it does not go into detail about what caused the grief.
The second verse goes on to describe having to say goodbye to someone without ever getting to meet them. “Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye / You were bigger than the whole sky / You were more than just a short time / And I’ve got a lot to pine about/ I’ve got a lot to live without.”
Swift continues, “I’m never gonna meet / What could’ve been, would’ve been / What should’ve been you / What could’ve been, would’ve been you.” Although it’s unclear what inspired the song — or if Swift even wrote it from her own perspective — fans took to Twitter to speculate about the heart-breaking lyrics.
