Florence Pugh is opening up about receiving a cold shoulder from the indie film community after being cast in the Marvel movies. The powerhouse English actor burst onto the scene with her performance in ‘Lady Macbeth.’ After doing acclaimed work in a few indies, Kevin Feige called her to the big leagues and cast her as Yelena Belova in ‘Black Widow.’
The English actress upset many of her collogues by moving to commercial movies. Many people in the indie film industry accused her of being a sellout. But Florence Pugh, whether an indie or a commercial film, continues to give comedic and dramatic performances of great multitudes.
