After two decades, Jennifer Lopez will end the tumultuous journey she started with her 2002 album ‘This Is Me…Then’ with a sequel to the album, ‘This Is Me…Now’. The album will come out on the heels of the 20th anniversary of the former. She will also release a short film along with the album.
During an interview with Variety, Jennifer Lopez talked about putting out the album which serves as a happy ending to a turbulent relationship with Ben Affleck. She said, “As artists, we have to follow our heart and this is me following my heart and doing something that maybe everybody didn’t think was the best idea, but I had to do it.”
Jennifer Lopez also revealed that both Ben Affleck and she had PTSD due to the media scrutiny that followed their relationship in 2002. However, the songstress said, “We’re older now. We’re wiser. We also know what’s important, what’s really important in life, and it’s not so much what other people think. It’s about being true to who you are.”
