The preparations for Presidential elections are in full boom, with several celebrities coming forward to both support and mock the presidential candidates. Satire has been a prominent element in elections for quite a while now, and many can’t help but wonder how great it would be to bring back the iconic character Borat, played by Sacha Baron Cohen, in the 2006 mockumentary black comedy film of the same name.
As if to bring his fans’ dreams true, Cohen recently appeared on ‘The Tonight Show‘, and imagined what his character Borat might say to Donald Trump and Kamala Harris as the drama around the presidential elections intensifies. Here’s what Cohen said that left the audiences in stitches.
Sacha Baron Cohen Has A Witty Message For Kamala Harris
Sacha Baron Cohen recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and took a jibe at both presidential candidates as he stepped into his iconic character Borat from the mockumentary ‘Borat! Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan‘.
“Yo, Mr. Trump. You is being convicted of 32 crimes, you stole classified documents, you boned enough porn stars and you ain’t never paid no taxes. Respect! You my hero,” Cohen said.
The heaviest round of laughs and applause came when he pointed jokes at Kamala Harris. “You are a woman, a person of color and married to a Jew. I advise you not to come to Kazakstan. You already have made three of the four crimes punishable by death. Please do tell me you have made sexy time with an underage bear,” he said.

He earned good applause from the audience before he began mocking Donald Trump again for the many scandals he has been involved in. “Mr. Trump. You say in Ohio that people no eat the cats and the dogs. Which restaurant do they serve them at? Can I get a reservation please?” Borat said. “In my country we have KFC: Kazakh Fried Cat. It’s pussy licking good.”
“Mr. Trump, that remind me of your visit five years ago to the bear pageant,” Borat added in a nod to another Trump scandal. “We paid the hush money to gather the grizzly. Problem solved. Thank you for your nuclear secrets in return. You scratch my back, I scratch your crumb,” he added.
Sacha Baron Cohen Thinks It Has Become “Too Dangerous” To Play Borat’s Character
Borat’s appearance on the reality show is perhaps the closest we can get to him now. Though Sacha Bara Cohen reluctantly played Borat at the show on Jimmy Fallon’s insistence, he had said that playing the can be “too dangerous” during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter back in 2021.
Cohen recalled how dangerous playing the character had gotten at one point. “There were a couple of times I had to put on a bulletproof vest to go and shoot a scene, and you don’t want to do that too many times in your life. I was pretty lucky to get out this time, so no, I’m not doing it again. I’m going to stay with the scripted stuff,” he said at the time.

Moreover, there were times when he used to get little to no sleep before attending events like the far-right rally in the sequel. During another interview with ET, Cohen agreed that he is not willing to step into Borat’s shoes again. “Yeah, I don’t want to do it again. I got away with it. I’m not pushing my luck again,” he said.
