“I Apologize To Absolutely No One”: Tony Hinchcliffe Continues To Defend His Nasty Comment On Puerto Ricans

Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe got into quite some trouble earlier this year for his racist comment on Puerto Ricans, where he called the land “garbage” during one of Donald Trump’s rallies. Soon after, Latin celebrities retaliated to his joke, calling him out for his racism.

As Trump gets ready to take on the presidential duties soon, the comedian, who many celebrities have asked to publicly apologise, is refusing to do so while also defending his joke. Here’s what he said.

During one of Donald Trump’s rallies, Tony Hinchcliffe said, “There’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico.”

The comment soon attracted hatred from Latin celebrities and users on social media who called him out for his racism. One might expect the comedian to apologise, but he defended his joke and announced that he was going to apologise to nobody.

The 20th Amendment to the Constitution states that the presidential inauguration must always take place on January 20, which means Donald Trump will be sworn in next year in January. The president-elect will take office as soon as he is sworn in. After the ceremony, the new president usually moves into the White House.

About two and a half months after Election Day, the inauguration will take place. However, Trump is stuck in legal brawls under various allegations, for which he awaits decision to be delivered on November 19.

Trump’s legal team is seeking dismissal ofthe allegations based on a recent Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity. They argue that the ruling shields Trump from prosecution for official acts committed during his presidency.
