Cooper Koch has made one big splash with his character in ‘Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story‘. The show has managed to bring some heavy limelight to the infamous Menendez brothers, who were convicted for the heinous murder of their parents. Koch, who plays one of the brothers in the series, has earned heavy acclaim for his role.
With his fandom just beginning to shape up, Koch has big dreams. At the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles, Koch previewed what might be his next big thing. And fans would be delighted to hear about his ambitious wishes.
Cooper Koch Dreams Of Playing The Iconic Character Patrick Bateman
Cooper Koch is basking in the glory of his recent success in ‘Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story‘, but it is just the beginning of his seemingly bright acting career. The actor recently revealed that he would love to star in the sequel of the iconic film ‘American Psycho‘, set to be directed by Luca Guadagnino.
“Luca’s doing American Psycho, so I think I can do Patrick Bateman,” he said jokingly while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter. So Koch is gunning to step into the psychopathic shoes once worn by Christian Bale in the 2000 cult classic — pretty huge if the idea comes to fruition.

Luca Guadagnino is reportedly in final talks to helm a new adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis’ ‘American Psycho‘ for Lionsgate. This is a follow-up to Ellis’ 1991 novel and takes off from where the original film left the story.
The film follows Patrick Bateman, a suave investment banker who moonlights as a deranged serial killer. Bale’s chilling portrayal of Bateman became iconic, so Koch definitely has big , blood-stained shoes to fill. But the actor is up for the challenge. “I haven’t played a serial killer yet, so I think I could do it,” he confidently added.
Cooper Koch Is In Love With Luca Guadagnino’s ‘Challengers’
Cooper Koch’s breakout role in ‘Monsters‘ has opened the floodgates to some exciting offers for the actor. “Things are coming in, things are moving, things are happening,” he said with a chuckle. However, he clarified that nothing is locked in yet. “The needle is threading, so we’ll see,” he teased.
If his Patrick Bateman dream comes true, Koch would be taking an unquestionably bold step forward in his very promising career. With Scott Z. Burns writing the script and Frenesy Films on board, this new ‘American Psycho’ isn’t just remaking the 2000 film, they are giving the whole story a brand new start.
