Chappell Roan does not tolerate a bully and she has proven it yet again. The singer had an unfriendly encounter with a familiar face while attending Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts premiere in Los Angeles. Chappell has previously stated that she dislikes red carpet events because they are too stressful, and the recent event might just have intensified her hatred for it.
A photographer seemingly behaved rudely with her on the red carpet recently, and the singer did not hold any bars while confronting them about it. Here’s what the singer said to the photographer at the premiere.
“You Were So Disrespectful To Me At The Grammys”: Chappell Roan Slams Red Carpet Photographer
Chappell Roan was one of many celebrities to attend Olivia Rodrigo‘s premiere for ‘Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour’ at NYA Studios EAST in Los Angeles. There, the ‘Bitter’ singer recognized a photographer from the Grammys and marched towards them.
Roan then confronted the photographer, saying, “You were so disrespectful to me at the Grammys.” The singer said, “You yelled at me at the Grammy party. Yes, I remember. You were so rude to me. And I deserve an apology for that. You need to apologize to me.”
Soon a staff member could be seen running up to the scene, trying to intervene to make peace.
This is not the first time Chappell has called someone out on the red carpet. A video of Roan from the VMAs went viral. A person from the carpet could be heard yelling, “Shut the f*** up.” Roan shouted back toward the person, “You shut the f*** up.”
Why Chappell Roan Dislikes Red Carpet Events
Amid media brutality, it is only understandable that Chappell Roan dislikes red-carpet events. The singer revealed to Entertainment Tonight later at the VMAs, “This is quite overwhelming and quite scary.”
She continued, “I think for someone who gets a lot of anxiety around people yelling at you, the carpet is horrifying.” She added, “And I yelled back. I yelled back! You don’t get to yell at me like that.”
