Speaking on ‘The Zach Sang Show’, Malik delved into matters of the heart. The 31-year-old said that he has never been in love before, making many question his relationship with ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid.
When asked about whether he has ever experienced love, Zayn had a surprising response. “I don’t know if I’ve actually truly been in love at this point,” Zayn admitted while speaking about love. However, he acknowledged that he wholeheartedly loves his daughter Khai, whom he shares with Gigi.
The ‘Pillowtalk‘ singer also revealed that he began working on the project after his split from Gigi Hadid. While he acknowledged his love for his daughter, Khai, whom he shares with Gigi, he admitted uncertainty about romantic relationships.

Zayn Malik Opens Up About His Idea Of Love
Zayn Malik further opened up about how his understanding of love has evolved over time. He contended that what he once perceived as love may have been influenced by life experiences. “You look back at it with new eyes and you’re like, ‘Well, maybe I wasn’t in love there,'” he explained.
“Was it love or is it life experience that we are going through? Who knows. We’re just in situations where we look back at them with different eyes and it’s a completely different situation,” he added.
Other than his serious relationship with Gigi, Zayn has also been romantically involved with several other celebrities. One of these celebrities was also Perrie Edwards from ‘Little Mix’. The relationship between the two ended in 2015, and about 8 years later, rumors of Malik’s relationship with Selena Gomez were rife in 2023.
