Chandler Bing’s immature reaction to situations has always amused ‘Friends‘ fans. However, the character-actor nature did not differ much in this stance. Upon the 30th anniversary of the sitcom, Jane Sibbett recalled a hilarious reaction from Matthew Perry while she breastfed during a scene. Sibbett related Perry was caught off-guard because he was not aware that she would actually breastfeed while filming.
Jane Sibbett replaced Anita Barone as Carol Willick in the television series. Carol had left Ross because was a lesbian. However, they find that she is pregnant with Ross’ baby. Carol, Ross, and Susan become parents to baby Ben. In the episode ‘The One With The Breast Milk’, Chandler freaks out when Phoebe licks Carol’s breastmilk. Here’s what Sibbett said about it.

During an interview with The Sun, Jane Sibbett recalled filming a particular scene with Matthew Perry that left him “blushing”. Carol was visiting the friends in season two after delivering Ben, when Chandler’s character was shown to be quite visibly uncomfortable with Carol breastfeeding publically in ‘The One With The Breastmilk’.
It seems Perry had a similar reaction during the first take of filming. Sebbett recalled, “I actually tried to nurse the babies — with their mother’s permission — and that’s why you get such a hilarious reaction from Matt Perry.”

She continued, “He was like, ‘Whoa, Sibbett’s breast is out.’ He thought I was going to pantomime breastfeeding, but didn’t know I’d do it for real.” Sibbett said, “You can almost see him blush if you look at that take closely enough. It’s so hilarious. I mean, I’m sure he’d seen breasts before but he’d never seen me whip mine — my big milky breast out — that was funny.”
Jane Sibbett Faced Religious Backlash Because Of Her Lesbian Role In ‘Friends’
Fans were touched when Ross walked Carol down the aisle during her wedding to Susan ion the beloved show. Carol’s parents had refused to accept her lesbian sexuality. As a true friend Ross stepped up to give Carol away in ‘The One With The Lesbian Wedding’ in season two. This episode became special not only because of Ross’ beautiful gesture but also because it was the first lesbian wedding to be portrayed in a television series.
Speaking about the episode, Sebbet revealed that although it was met with a majorly positive response, she also received some backlash that caused her stress.

Sebbett revealed that her father was extremely religious and refused to watch ‘Friends’ on account of Carol’s sexuality. In fact, he held bible studies on the nights the show aired. She said, “Then I had a woman from my old church call me up… and proceeded to me that I was going to burn in hell.”
