Huge glass walls frame the hills, pulling in natural light. The open space makes it easy for kids to run through or for friends to gather without bumping into barriers.
Kutcher and Kunis didn’t shy away from diving into the details, from beam sizes to framing, and even soil health. Kutcher compared the process to good software: fewer clicks, fewer obstacles. They wanted a house that functioned as smoothly as it looked. The entertainment barn gave them a space to let loose. In fact, the system produces more electricity than the family uses, though outdated local codes prevent them from sharing the surplus. They also focused on water and soil. The couple dug their own well and paid attention to regenerative farming on the property.
During lockdown, they even planted a cornfield, leaning into the farmhouse lifestyle in their own way.
