In a recent pre-recorded interview that aired on CBS Mornings on September 5, Travis Kelce opened up about what it’s like being known as Taylor Swift’s other half. The NFL star, who’s no stranger to fame himself, has been basking in the glory of being Taylor’s “arm candy” (his words, not ours).
During the interview, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end made it clear he’s absolutely okay with being linked to Taylor Swift. “It’s the life I chose, I guess,” he said with a laugh. “I have fun with it.” And who wouldn’t?
“It comes with the territory of wanting to do fun activities like this and signing up for cool sponsorships like this and endorsements,” he added.
He also dished on how his family has been adjusting to the increased media attention. Unsurprisingly, his mom Donna Kelce is all in. “Everyone’s loving it. Mama Kelce is having so much fun,” he shared.
“I think my dad is slowly getting more comfortable with it, and Jason has always been a pro at it,” he said, referring to his older brother, Jason Kelce, a retired Philadelphia Eagles center.

But when asked if he has a favorite Taylor Swift song, Travis couldn’t pick just one. “Oh, a bunch of them. They’re all my favorite, literally, every single one,” he said. “You see me at a concert, you’ll see me singing them all.”

Beyond fun and games, Kelce shared a bit about why he thinks people are so invested in him. “I hope it’s because they see I’m just a genuinely good person and I love what I do,” he told CBS Mornings. “I’d rather give everybody happiness and something to cheer about than otherwise.”
But things don’t stop at Swift’s concerts. Apparently, she’s also been getting involved in Kelce’s NFL career. During a recent interview on the Rich Eisen Show, Travis joked that Swift has been coming up with NFL plays for him. “She’s a little biased and just creates plays for me. We’ll see if they can make it to Coach Reid’s office,” he quipped.
“She had just been so open to learning the game, she didn’t know much about the rules or anything … I think she was just curious about the profession,” he continued. “I know none of the plays have gotten to Coach Reid yet, but if they ever do I’ll make sure everyone knows it was her creation.“
