Joe Rogan, the outspoken podcaster and UFC host known for his deep dives into controversial and mind-expanding topics, recently admitted that there’s one subject he refuses to discuss with his wife and kids. Surprisingly, it isn’t as outlandish as Rogan doesn’t want to cross the line when talking about his thoughts on the nature of human existence with them.
Rogan, who married Jessica Ditzel in 2009, has three daughters, Kayja, Lola, and Rosy. However, unlike on his podcast, he is adamant that his views on human existence will not be shared with his family.
Joe Rogan Believes His Human Existence Theories Are ‘Too Weird’ For Family Talks

During an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, comedian Andrew Schulz joined Rogan in a discussion about reality and the possibility that life as we know it is nothing more than a simulation. Rogan has long entertained the theory that our world could be an advanced digital construct. He’s “kind of convinced” that people are living in a computer-generated environment.
“How do you really feel about this world that we’re living in, this world that seems more and more like it’s not real? More and more like it’s a f***ing simulation,” Rogan asked Schulz. He suggested that reality might be built on a foundation beyond what science can currently measure. “There’s something more to reality than what meets the eye, there’s more to it than what you can put on a scale, or what you can put a ruler to,” he said.
While these ideas often spark lively debate among his podcast guests, they are entirely off-limits in his own household. Schulz asked Rogan whether he ever discusses such concepts with his wife and kids, to which Rogan replied with a laugh, “No, that’s too weird to talk to kids about.” His wife, Jessica Ditzel, he noted, wouldn’t entertain such deep conversations either.
“She would go, ‘What?’ You know my wife. She’d be like, ‘What the f*** are you talking about?’” he said, chuckling. Rogan clarified that he and Ditzel do have meaningful conversations. However, his views on the nature of existence typically remain within the realm of his podcast guests rather than dinner table discussions.
“Kids Are Just All In, Addicted”: Joe Rogan Shares His Concern Over Excessive Social Media Usage

Beyond theories of simulated reality, Joe Rogan also has strong opinions about another modern phenomenon, kids’ obsession with social media, particularly Snapchat. During a recent episode of his podcast, Rogan sat down with former NFL star Antonio Brown. Midway through their discussion on national security, Rogan noticed Brown using his phone and jokingly called him out.

He asked if Brown was on Snapchat. Brown denied it, but this prompted Rogan to open up about his own concerns regarding how deeply the app has infiltrated younger generations, including his own children. “My kids don’t even text…they just snap their friends,” Rogan revealed. “They’re in the middle of the movie theater or something…they’re like…make a weird face, send it to their friends. What are you doing? This is a weird way to communicate.”
For Rogan, Snapchat represents a shift in the way young people interact. However, what truly worries him is the feature called Snap Map. “Kids are just all in, addicted to Snapchat,” Rogan said. “Another thing that’s weird…is they all have a Snap Map, so they know where they all are. They’re all like, ‘Oh, she’s with him. You see where all your friends are. Like you got a map of all friends…it’s weird, man.”
