Jude Law‘s love for the Oxfordshire-based rock band Radiohead is common knowledge at this point. Not only does he believe they are “blistering with talent,” but he also went as far as to call them “one of the great bands.” The Hollywood star has attended many of their live shows, including a famous appearance at London’s Victoria Park.

In 2012, Law’s massive fan moment came true when he collaborated with the band for a Greenpeace public service announcement to save the Arctic. The experience left such a lasting impression on theCloseractor that he would eagerly work with them again if given the chance. Here is what he once famously said about the prospect.

In 2019, Jude Law lent his voice to Vampire Weekend’s album ‘Father of the Bride.’ His rendition of ‘Lord Ullin’s Daughter’ added to the gothic allure, but that was not the end of the actor’s musical pursuits. Law also went on to collaborate with The Strokes’ guitarist, Albert Hammond Jr.

The duo recorded two songs for the Netflix miniseries ‘Black Rabbit.’ Nothing, however, comes close to his enduring devotion toward Radiohead, which includes Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Ed O’Brien, and Philip Selway.

Over a decade after their only collaboration, Jude expressed his desire to work with the band again. “I’ve always adored Radiohead. I think they are just blistering with talent. I listen to their music regularly. They’re one of the great bands,” the actor told The Guardian in 2024.

“I’ve worked with Vampire Weekend [reading a poem on their 2019 album ‘Father of the Bride’] because Ezra [Koenig] is an old friend of mine. If Thom Yorke and his band want me to do anything, I would be honored,” he added. Meanwhile, Law first partnered with the band in 2012 for a noble cause.

Law and Radiohead teamed up on a Greenpeace campaign to raise awareness regarding climate change, especially its effect on the Arctic and polar bears. For this venture, Law provided the narration vocals, which were set against the backdrop of Radiohead’s track, ‘Everything In Its Right Place.’

Their video titled ‘A Homeless Polar Bear In London’ was directed at illegal oil drilling, industrial fishing, and militarization. It was a call to make the Arctic a safe sanctuary for polar bears. So far, the video has garnered around a million views and has sparked conversations around the issues.

Thom Yorke, the band’s frontman, has repeatedly advocated for climate issues over the years. At the time of writing, the musician has made no statement regarding Jude Law’s pitch, and it remains to be seen when the two parties will reunite for another venture.
