Kaley Cuoco is still in love with ‘The Big Bang Theory‘ and her unforgettable portrayal of Penny. The show ended years ago but it is still seen as one of the most iconic sitcoms of our times. It has outdone itself with two spectacular sequels, of which ‘Young Sheldon‘ has already been proven to be a hit one.
While fans have eagerly been waiting for a spin-off of the show, the actors have also not entirely eliminated the idea. And Kaley Cuoco has added another ray of hope to fans’ expectations as she praised her character Penny and emphasized how much she would love to reprise it.
Kaley Cuoco Opens Up About Her Admiration For Her Character Penny
Kaley Cuoco is not afraid to admit how much she loves her iconic show ‘The Big Bang Theory’ and her character in it. The ‘Flight Attendant‘ star recently opened up about it during a conversation with People, and recalled all the fond memories of working on the hit CBS sitcom that rocketed her career to new heights.
“I spent 12 years playing that role and really set off my career,” she said, clearly thankful for her time on the show. Cuoco reminisced about those years with honest nostalgia by stressing the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre, was vital in bringing her the character that has now changed her life.

“I owe a lot to that character, to that show,” she said, as she added that her years on set have been “some of the best years of my life.” The actress didn’t stop there as she admitted that she “had the most fun” working with the other actors and the crew.
Asked whether she might one day fill Penny’s shoes again, Cuoco didn’t even bat an eye. “I would absolutely reprise that role. 100%. I love that character, and I always will,” she declared. Looks like Cuoco would jump at the chance for a reboot!
‘The Big Bang Theory’ Cast And Crew Aren’t So Sure About A Reboot Yet
Though Kaley Cuoco has hinted at a reprisal of her role in a possible reboot of the iconic show, it hasn’t exactly been the same with other actors of the show. Jim Parsons, who plays the lead character Sheldon Cooper, also hinted at the possibility, asserting “never say never“.
However, he also called the idea of a reboot “lightning in a bottle“. “I’m reluctant to mess with the legacy of it,” he said during a previous interview. Meanwhile, Kunal Nayyar, who played Raj on the show, said it’s “too soon” to reprise his role.

However, the ‘Young Sheldon’ producer did not shut the door completely. “I’d never say never to anything, because life just changes so much,” he said.
The original show wrapped after an impressive 12-season run, but the universe it created is still going strong. ‘Young Sheldon’ remains a fan favorite, with yet another spinoff in the works. Moreover, another show based on Georgie and Mandy’s marriage is already in talks.
