Keanu Reeves made his debut at one of the biggest races, the Toyota GR Cup Series, as part of a race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday. Though the enthusiasm especially among his fans was quite high in the beginning, the ride was initially not smooth. On the ninth lap, Reeves lost his grip on his Toyota around a corner and it shot off onto the grass.
In a near-miss moment, with Neo probably flinching in solidarity, he just managed not to go headfirst with another car. However, he was untouched and finished 25th from 35, having started at 31 from the grid.
The incident occurred at the midpoint of a 45-minute race, but Reeves battled back, leaping back into his No. 92 BRZRKR car — a nod to his graphic novel ‘The Book of Elsewhere‘, which debuted in July.

Though it was the first time Keanu Reeves entered a professional racing scenario, his love for the sport runs deep. This wasn’t Reeves’ first experience behind the wheel in a racing scenario. He had previously won the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach celebrity race in 2009.

He also enjoyed a qualifying race by Formula 1 during the British Grand Prix in 2022, which he described as “thrilling.”
