Ketamine Queen Jasveen Sangha Pleads Guilty In Matthew Perry Death Case

The shocking death of beloved ‘Friends’ actor Matthew Perry in October 2023 sent ripples across the world. Known for his iconic role as Chandler, Perry’s passing at 54 was ruled a result of ketamine overdose.

Investigators have since unraveled a disturbing network of individuals linked to supplying the actor with the lethal drug. Now, one of the case’s most notorious figures, Jasveen Sangha, infamously nicknamed the “Ketamine Queen”, has pleaded guilty, marking a pivotal development in the pursuit of justice.

According to federal prosecutors, Jasveen Sangha played a direct and devastating role in Matthew Perry’s overdose. Sangha was charged with five criminal counts, including the sale of the ketamine that ultimately killed the actor. Her guilty plea makes her the fifth and final defendant in the high-profile case to reach a plea agreement with prosecutors, joining Dr. Mark Chavez, Kenneth Iwamasa, Erik Fleming, and Dr. Salvador Plasencia.

Each of these defendants contributed in varying degrees to the illegal distribution of drugs. However, Sangha and Dr. Plascencia were considered the primary targets of the investigation. Sangha’s involvement was particularly significant, as she was directly tied to supplying the lethal dose that ended Perry’s life. By entering her plea, Sangha has avoided a trial that was previously set to take place in September.

However, the consequences she faces remain severe. She could receive a sentence of up to 45 years in prison. For many who have been following the case, this potential outcome feels like a crucial moment of accountability. But no sentence can undo the immense loss of Perry’s life. The guilty plea is a step forward. Yet it raises important questions about the predatory nature of those willing to exploit individuals battling personal struggles.
