Although James Gunn and Peter Safran want to bring about a new era at DCEU, some things are better left unchanged. And it seems Henry Cavill as Superman is one of them. Now that David Corenswet has been chosen as the new Superman, netizens have not accepted the news with much love.

Why Did Henry Cavill Leave His Role As Superman?
Henry Cavill stepped into the shoes of Superman with ‘Man of Steel‘ in 2013. The movie was not very successful at the box office. But he did solidify his role as Clark Kent. Viewers loved his portrayal of the character.
Since then he has appeared in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’, ‘Justice League’ and a small cameo in ‘Black Adam‘. Although mostly these films received negative criticism, Henry Cavill was loved by fans as the caped superhero.
However, when James Gunn and Peter Safran took over DC, Henry Cavill did talk about his future in the DCEU with both of them. But soon the dreaded news came that he will not be returning as Superman. Reportedly James Gunn felt he would be too old for Superman. But no certain reason has been shared by DC yet about letting Cavill go.
