The 63-year-old Madonna is no less than a fashion statement herself. It seems like her son David Banda is highly influenced by his mother’s bold fashion choices. Banda, whose full name is David Banda Mwale Ciccone Ritchi, is the adopted 16-year-old son of the famous singer. He was adopted from South-Eastern Africa in 2006 and is currently pursuing a career as a footballer.
Madonna and her son were spotted together in Brooklyn in June. They were wearing matching Adidas outfits at WBA World Lightweight Championship at the Barclays. The image went viral and fans hailed the fashion sense of the mother-son duo. Madonna has even admitted that Banda wears her clothes.

Madonna And Her Son David’s Viral Matching Outfits
According to Gucci’s official Instagram post, “David Banda wore an Adidas x Gucci dress in a past-meets-present moment – his mother, Madonna, was captured in 1993 wearing the dress it was inspired by. The archival original was part of an official collaboration between the sportswear brand and Laura Whitcomb of Label NYC and re-envisioned by Alessandro Michele within his Exquisite Gucci collection.”
The dress had long sleeves, a plunging neckline, and a bold thigh-high slit. Madonna herself opted for a piece from the Balenciaga x Adidas spring 2023 collaboration. The outfit was a baggy black tracksuit with white stripes running down from the sides. Both mother and son accessorized their fits with silver jewelry and black sneakers.

Who Did It Better?
The singer, whose latest album is ‘Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones’, recently appeared on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon‘ and talked about her son. She revealed that he can look good in any outfit and probably even better than her. “He can put on any outfit and look swag as you know what. It’s really irritating. He wears my clothes and looks better in them. He can even wear a dress and look butch,” said Madonna.
Benda is known for his gender-fluid clothing sense and this wasn’t the first time he totally aced a dress. Madonna shared a picture of her son in a black dress and wrote, “Today isn’t Monday……..It’s Son Day!!! David at his curtain call At Lachsa And Art by #Rhed!”
Madonna also told Jimmy that he makes music now and will soon end up as one of his guests on the show. Well, from what our ‘Like a Virgin‘ star told us, we can definitely say that David Benda has got some really good fashion game up his sleeves and we can’t wait to see more iconic looks from him.
