The rise of Margot Robbie to Hollywood fame didn’t erase memories from her early London years, and one of her stories still makes her laugh today. Yes, the ‘Barbie‘ star has confessed that she was once banned from most of the clubs.
During a podcast appearance, Robbie pulled back the curtain on her chaotic London era, filled with housemates, questionable decisions, and security guards who definitely did not care who she was.
The Night Infernos Kicked Out Margot Robbie

During her appearance on the Table Manners podcast, Robbie described living in Clapham long before Hollywood recognition. She shared a cramped four-bedroom flat with six roommates and said they behaved like “a naughty school girl,” constantly creating small chaos wherever they went.

Their nights often led them to Infernos, a famously chaotic South London club known for sticky carpets and loose rules. One evening, security dragged the group outside, and Robbie protested while being escorted out. Recalling it, Robbie laughed and shared how the bouncers told her a friend had crossed the line, and that was it.
Naturally, she had to see it for herself. But the legend did not hold up. “Within about 15 minutes, we got kicked out,” Robbie revealed. Shocked, she argued with security, shouting, “But this is Infernos, you can’t get kicked out of Infernos.” The bouncer shut that down fast.
Ironically, she loved the place so much that when she and her friends moved in together, they chose their flat purely because it was down the road from the infamous club. After that incident, the consequences followed them beyond one night. Robbie explained they were eventually banned from several South London clubs.
The Party Girl Reputation That Followed The Actress

Looking back, the ban made sense considering the kind of celebrations she remembers from that time. She recalled her Harry Potter-themed bachelorette party, complete with a stripper dressed as the wizard, laughing that it was “very, very funny and not sexy,” with robes, glasses, and endless magical jokes.

Even once fame arrived, that playful energy never completely disappeared. She invited the owners of her neighborhood corner shop to a movie premiere after they didn’t believe she was famous, and years later, on Heart Radio, she performed a “shoey,” drinking beer from a glass shoe without hesitation.
Now, as the star of ‘Barbie‘, ‘The Wolf of Wall Street‘, and ‘Wuthering Heights‘, Robbie’s life looks very different. But those Clapham nights remain unforgettable.
