The suavest man in the world, Tom Cruise, is not just known for his chiseled face and physique. The actor is also popular for performing stunts in his films by himself. The Eyes Wide Shut actor is fond of flying planes. As per the news, he has rented three bi-planes to shoot his eighth and last installment of the successful Mission Impossible franchise. The shooting of Mission Impossible 8 has begun with still scenes from MI 7 left to be shot.
Mission Impossible 8 Will Have The Expensive And Well-Crafted Stunts Never Seen Before!
The actor was spotted practicing to fly a Second World War military plane last year. The practice will come to fruition as the actor will be performing the stunts on the plane in the upcoming part of Mission Impossible. The Toronto Sun sources confirmed the reports of the actor flying a Boeing Stearman biplane. They said, “It’s a highly skilled task but as usual he has no plans to cut any corners or bring in a stuntman. Filming has only just wrapped on ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ but Tom has not given himself a break.”
After the seventh installment was affected by the pandemic, the eighth installment is being filmed in South Africa. The Hollywood star who plays the character of Ethan Hunt in the franchise is believed to have ‘no expense’ spared. As per a source, “Tom doesn’t do anything by halves, and just like Mission: Impossible seven, the eighth film is going to be absolutely huge. No expense has been spared for this production.” The film is estimated to have a budget of $290 million.
The source has also stated that Cruise will also perform some biggest, well-crafted, and most expensive stunts in the franchise to date. Telling about the hiring of three bi-planes, the sources said, “The action on the production is only just getting started, and Tom is going to be working on some of the franchise’s biggest and most expensive stunts to date. He has hired three bi-planes for stunts he was rehearsing in the UK last year. Tom learned to fly the planes, and now he’ll put all that into practice.”
Tom’s Top Gun: Maverick Will Also See Some Mind-Blowing Aerial Act
The obsession with the planes continues, as Tom Cruise will also be doing some “never seen” aerial scenes in Top Gun: Maverick. The film is a sequel to the 1986 hit Top Gun. Cruise, who will reprise the part of Lieutenant Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell, recalled: “I said to the studio, ‘You don’t know how hard this movie’s going to be.
Cruise has assured that the audiences are in for a surprising aerial act. The act has never been attempted in the history of Cinema. He also confidently said that it will never happen again.
The actor will be acclaimed with a special honor at Cannes Films Festival this year. It will be a double whammy for him, as Top Gun: Maverick will also be scheduled to be premiered on the prestigious platform.
Tom Cruise will return as Ethan Hunt with the seventh installment of Mission Impossible releasing in July 2023. While the eighth and final installment is slated to be released in June 2024.
