Meanwhile, Liam’s former bandmates are still processing the demise of their dear friend and posted heartfelt tributes on social media. Liam gained fame along with his bandmates on The X Factor and was with the band till they took a hiatus in 2016. Unfortunately, the band untied to give a joint statement for their departed friend. One Direction Members Issued A Joint Statement After Liam Payne’s Demise
Upon Liam Payne’s demise, former band One Direction members issued a joint statement to the press on October 18. The message was signed by Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. It read, “We are completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say.”
The singers stated they would take some time to grieve their friend and “process the loss of our brother who we loved dearly.” It continued, “For now, our thoughts are with his family and friends and the fans who love him alongside us. We miss him terribly.” The statement concluded with, “We love you Liam.” Meanwhile, the singers have taken to Instagram to pay tribute to Liam separately.
One Direction Singers Pay Personal Tribute To Liam Payne
Besides their joint statement, One Direction members shared old pictures with the late singer on Instagram posting their personal tribute to Liam. Harry Styles wrote, “I am truly devastated by Liam’s passing. His greatest joy was making other people happy, and it was an honour to be alongside him as he did it.”
Meanwhile, Zayn Malik reminisced, “I never got to thank you for supporting me through some of the most difficult times of my life.” He added, “When I was missing home as a 17 yr old kid would always be there with a positive outlook and a reassuring smile and let me know that you were my friend and that I was loved.”

Louis too wrote, “I first met Liam when he was 16 and I was 18, I was instantly amazed by his voice but more importantly, as time went on I got a chance to see the kind brother I’d longed all my life for.” Lastly, Niall shared, “Liam had an energy for life and a passion for work that was infectious. He was the brightest in every room and always made everyone feel happy and secure.”
