Serena Williams is counted among the top tennis players in the world. She is the greatest of her time and deserves good hospitality wherever possible. But Williams shared that she didn’t receive suitable behavior at a hotel in Paris.
Serena was denied access to the hotel’s restaurant with her children and she addressed the incident on social media. The hotel immediately apologized to her for the inconvenience.

The Paris Hotel Immediately Apologized To Serena Williams For The Inconvenience
While in France, the former tennis player blasted The Peninsula Hotel in Paris for denying her and her children access to the hotel’s restaurant. Serena shared a picture with a caption regarding this issue on X (Twitter).
Serena Williams wrote, “Yikes @peninsulaparis I’ve been denied access to rooftop to eat in an empty restaurant of nicer places but never with my kids,” Williams wrote. “Always a first. #Olympic2024.”
But the hotel was quick to respond to her issue. They posted an apology for the inconvenience caused to the former tennis player, stating that the rooftop restaurant was “fully booked”.
The hotel wrote: “Dear Mrs. Williams, Please accept our deepest apologies for the disappointment you encountered tonight,” the hotel said in a reply to Williams’ post. “Unfortunately, our rooftop bar was indeed fully booked and the only unoccupied tables you saw belonged to our gourmet restaurant, L’Oiseau Blanc, which was fully reserved.”

Serena Williams raised a bait against the hotel when she was denied access but later the hotel claimed that they were fully booked. They also added in a follow-up post, “We have always been honored to welcome you and will always be to welcome you again.”
But people had mixed reactions to the post and most of them agreed that Serena should immediately apologize to the restaurant for thrashing them online when they were fully booked. People added that the hotel staff can’t throw somebody who is already booked just for her.
One comment even pointed out that the following hotel doesn’t even take reservations according to the Penensula’s website.
