The battles of the royals haven’t been just internal but have circled in many prominent figures, including David Beckham and his wife, Victoria Beckham. The Beef Between Prince Harry-Meghan Markle And David Beckham-Victoria Beckham
It was in 2020 that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their royal exit. Their lives before and after the move have been discussed, criticized, and blatantly attacked. Tom Bower claims in his book that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were “addicted” to reading about themselves in the press. They suspected that their celebrity friends were leaking out their secrets.
Bower writes, “Harry and Meghan were shackled. Every night they scoured the internet to read the newspaper reports and the trolls’ postings on social media. Irrationally, they grouped the two together and fed each other’s frenzy about the media. Convinced that as champions of goodness they were being persecuted by mendacity and racism, they felt victimized by the mildest criticism.”
The target of suspicion became David and Victoria Beckham. The couple attended Meghan and Harry’s royal wedding in May 2018. According to Bower, Meghan “suspected Victoria Beckham of indiscretion,” and Harry confronted her husband David about it. “Harry called David Beckham to repeat the accusation. Outraged, Beckham’s truthful denials damaged their relationship,” reveals the author.
However, Harry and Meghan are most at odds with his brother Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton. But the former working royal only has compassion for those who he feels are “trapped” in the royal family. In his 2020 tell-all interview with CBS, Harry said, “I was trapped but I didn’t know I was trapped. Trapped within the system like the rest of the family. My father [Prince Charles] and my brother are trapped. They don’t get to leave and I have huge compassion for that.”
Deets About Meghan’s Alleged Bullying
Meghan Markle has been accused of bullying palace workers. She allegedly had “several disputes” with “the team of handpicked professional women” who were helping her prepare for her wedding in 2018. While the probe by the administration into the matter didn’t fetch any conclusive results, the staff claimed that Meghan’s requests “were delivered as commands rather than inquiries.”
Another controversy from the time of her big day included a feud with her then-to-be sister-in-law Kate, who was believed to have “burst into tears” due to an accusation my Meghan.
The ‘Suits’ star addressed the entire fiasco during her March CBS interview. “The narrative with Kate, it didn’t happen. A few days before the wedding she was upset about flower girl dresses and it made me cry. It really hurt my feelings. … What was hard to get over was being blamed for something that not only I didn’t do but that happened to me. Everyone in the institution knew it wasn’t true,” she clarified.
