Taylor Swift has emerged as one of the greatest stars in the history of music. And though it is undoubtedly a glamorous title to carry, it has its own setbacks too. Being a singing sensation, Taylor has all kinds of fans spread across the world. Her fandom expands to all ages and all types — from children to elders, from saints to murderers.
In a rare case for any celebrity, one of Taylor’s fans is curious to meet her right after serving over seven years in jail for a crime as serious as murder. Gypsy-Rose Blanchard is a convicted criminal and aspires to meet Taylor right after she gets released from prison on December 28.

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard Says She Will Meet Taylor Swift At Travis Kelce’s Game
32-year-old Gypsy-Rose Blanchard was sent to jail after she was convicted of orchestrating her mother’s murder in 2015 to escape years of abuse. Blanchard has expressed admiration for Taylor Swift and stated her plans to attend an event where Taylor is set to mark her presence this week.
Blanchard said she will reach the Kansas City Chiefs game, which is scheduled just two days after she is set to be released from jail. Taylor Swift has been frequenting the Kansas City games since she started dating Travis Kelce earlier this summer. So Taylor’s presence at this game is a fair prediction.
Referring to Taylor as a “kick-ass chick”, Blanchard said she plans to attend the game with her husband, Ryan Scott Anderson. She also said if she fails to meet the icon at the football game, she will attend Swift’s Eras Tour in New Orleans next fall.
Blanchard has been a long-time fan of Swift. According to TMZ, she also used all her commissary money to purchase all of Swift’s albums.

Why Was Gypsy-Rose Blanchard Jailed?
Whether or not she meets Swift, Blanchard’s life post-prison would bring her relief from two decades of abuse that she claims to have faced from her mother Dee Dee. Her mother suffered from what the experts now believe to be Munchausen by proxy syndrome.
Because of her own condition, Blanchard’s mother restricted her to a wheelchair despite her being completely fit to walk. The world believed that Blanchard was terminally ill for most of her childhood and that she had the intellectual capabilities of a seven-year-old.
Blanchard’s boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, stabbed Dee Dee in 2015, leading to her death. Godejohn falls in the autistic spectrum and had claimed that he murdered the woman at Blanchard’s command. He was sentenced to life in prison plus 25 years.
Blanchard’s escape from her mother’s abuse led to media coverage, inspiring podcasts, documentaries, and television specials. Her firsthand account is set to be revealed in the upcoming eBook ‘Released’, to be published on January 9 by Penguin Random House. With a bright future facing her, Blanchard now hopes to fulfill her dream of meeting Taylor Swift as well.
