Cardi B and Elon Musk are two controversial names with their own ways of making headlines. Imagine them coming together for a brand new rift. It doesn’t take much to turn on the fire in this female rapper when she feels attacked. And that’s what Elon Musk has done.
Cardi B is not staying silent while her supporter Kamala Harris was bashed by none other than Elon Musk. He called her a puppet for supporting Kamala, prompting Cardi to fire back in her signature unapologetic flair. Here’s what’s happening between the two.
Cardi B Hits Back At Elon Musk At His Mockery Of Her
Billionaire CEO Elon Musk went to town on Cardi B and mocked her Milwaukee rally appearance for promoting Kamala Harris. During the rally, the rapper had to deal with a teleprompter mishap. Elon Musk, a vocal Donald Trump devotee, tweeted the video, describing this incident as “embarrassing“.
He also claimed that the “Harris campaign lacks authenticness or true empathy.” Musk never backs down when it comes to taking blows. But Cardi B isn’t the one to back down either.
The rapper hit back with a very empowered message. “I ain’t no puppet Elon. I’m the daughter of two immigrant parents that had to work their ass off for me! I am a product of welfare, I am a product of section 8, I am the product of poverty, and the product of what happens to you when the system was designed against you,” she said.
She added a cheeky postscript that read, “PS fix my algorithm.”
I’m not a puppet Elon.. I’m a daughter of two immigrant parents that had to work their ass off to provide for me! I’m a product of welfare, I’m a product of section 8, I’m a product of poverty and I’m a product of what happens when the system is set up against you….But you don’t… https://t.co/BBYQ2O0KYJ

Coming from an assumed child of one of the ruling class’s emerald mines in South Africa, someone might believe that Elon Musk never expected such a ranting comeback by Cardi B. But she lived off that kind of setting, speaking up against poverty and structural inequality in all.
Cardi B Rallies In Support For Kamala Harris
Earlier in the Milwaukee rally, Cardi B passionately brought up women’s rights against Donald Trump’s sexism and parallels between her and Harris’s journeys. “Women have to work ten times harder, perform ten times better, and still people question us,” she said.

“I don’t like a bully but just like Kamala I always stand up to one,” she added. She is one of the many musicians and Hollywood celebrities who have endorsed Harris.
Well, by all standards, one would say Musk’s ploy to tarnish Cardi did not exactly play out according to the script since Cardi B once again showcased that the voice is quite powerful and resonates very well with people.
