How Did Taylor Swift And Selena Gomez Become Friends?
Selena and Taylor started dating the Jonas Brothers members at the same time, though not the same one, which is how they came to be the extremely close friends they are today. Tay briefly dated Joe in 2008, while Selena dated Nick from 2008 to 2010. Relationships come and go, but closest friends endure forever, as you are well aware!
Naturally responding when asked who she turned to for relationship counsel, she admitted: “Every single problem I ever have is healable by Taylor Swift! If I ever have an issue, Taylor has gone through it, because she’s older than me, and she gives the most thought-out answers.”

“And what I love about Taylor is that she does believe in the whole love story and Prince Charming and soul mates. Because of her, I haven’t lost faith. We literally talk everyday.” Answering if Taylor ever came to her for advice following her split from Joe Jonas, she said: “When she was going through a hard time, we would make each other playlists. And I would send her some girl-empowering music, and she would send some back.”
Nothing Can Ever Shake Taylena!
They’ve been friends for one of the longest times in the industry. We have frequently seen them interact on social media, posting each other, commenting on each other’s socials, and supporting each other’s music.
In Taylor’s ‘Speak Now,‘ ‘1989,’ and ‘Reputation‘ tours, they appeared together three times. The two were undeniably loved by the audience, and they were eager to work together once more. Along with Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Ellen Pompeo, and other star-studded few, Selena also appeared in Taylor’s ‘Bad Blood‘ music video, where Selena played the role of her nemesis. Since that time, the two have not stopped supporting one another’s music.
@selenagomez Real love still happens sometimes. It's not just something we make up when we're nine. I have to believe that. You do too.

“I knew from when I met her I would always have her back. In my life, I have the ability to forgive people who have hurt me. But I don’t know if I can forgive someone who hurts her.” Twelve years after the pair’s friendship began, in 2020, Taylor made this statement.
@selenagomez I'm so proud of you, those pictures are beautiful. Call me when you get home, I know you've probably got some amazing stories!
