What a beautiful thing to do,” Clooney said, before going on to acknowledge how Swift has become a phenomenon, not just in entertainment but also in politics. “And, you know, she’s a real phenomenon right now, and it’s exciting to see all these young people really engaged in sort of the national discourse,” he said.

Taylor Swift Takes On The Political Arena With Some Backlash
Taylor Swift, who has been steadily growing more politically vocal, made waves earlier this year by endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris.

Elon Musk, because of course he had to chime in, took a weird swipe at her too. He tweeted on X, “Fine Taylor- you win- I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life.” But perhaps the most eyebrow-raising comment came from former president Donald Trump during an interview on Fox & Friends, took a jab at Swift.
He said, “She seems to always endorse a Democrat, and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.” The former president also declared, “I hate Taylor Swift!” in a Truth Social post.
Despite the backlash, Swift’s fans (a.k.a. the Swifties) have turned the negativity into momentum for Harris’s campaign, even helping to raise significant funds. And, regardless of the political drama, it’s clear that Taylor Swift is now a major player in American politics.
