“Thank You To This Beautiful Lady…”: Britney Spears Praises Justin Timberlake’s Ex Janet Jackson In Instagram Post, Then Deletes It

The tale of love and hate between Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake has been going on for decades now, and still continues to rock Hollywood. The two stars were recently in the headlines again for the renewed public jibes at each other since the release f Britney Spears’ memoir. While the two have been quiet for a while now, Britney Spears has set social media abuzz by appreciating one of Timberlake’s exes and then immediately deleting the post.

Britney Spears is back to making headlines, and this time it’s an unexpected show of support to Janet Jackson — a fellow singer who has also dated Justin Timberlake. 42-year-old Britney Spears took to Instagram to express her admiration for the 57-year-old ‘Scream‘ hitmaker, posting a heartfelt message.

Social media went abuzz after Britney Spears posted a very admiring message for Janet Jackson, a star who once dated Justin Timberlake. However, the controversy deepened as Britney immediately deleted the post some time later.

In her Instagram Story, Britney Spears posted a photo of an album cover by Janet along with an elaborate caption to it. “Thank you to this beautiful lady for keeping my dreams and heart alive,” Spears wrote on Instagram Sunday.

She’s always been the deepest and brightest woman at the same time. She went through so much but I feel she is someone I will look up to for the rest of my life,” she went on. “Thank you for your music and your divine way of untangling intelligence to a far more clear view than anyone could ever imagine,” Spears concluded in her now-deleted post with a photo of the cover art from Jackson’s 1993 album, ‘Janet.

While the sentiment seemed genuine, the internet couldn’t help but speculate that there might be more to the story. Many users noted the subtle reference of the message to the infamous Super Bowl XXXVIII nipplegate scandal with Justin Timberlake. During the 2004 Super Bowl Haft Time show, Justin Timberlake had exposed Janet Jackson’s bare breast to the audience at the end of one of their performances, drawing widespread backlash.

While both the singers had revealed that it was an unfortunate accident, many blamed Timberlake for the incident that left Jackson embarrassed.

Meanwhile, the Instagram gesture by Britney comes amid her ongoing feud with her ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake. Timberlake has faced a shift in public opinion in recent years, particularly during the Free Britney movement. The singer has essentially become the “bad guy” amid the whole drama he shares with Britney Spears.

Moreover, Spears revealed some problematic details about her relationship with Timberlake in her memoir, ‘The Woman in Me’. In the book, she claimed she had an abortion while dating Timberlake in the early 2000s, claiming he “wasn’t happy” about the pregnancy and “didn’t want to be a father.”

However, Spears recently extended an olive branch to Timberlake in a deleted Instagram post, praising his new song ‘Selfish. “I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song ‘Selfish’ It is soo good,” she wrote on social media.

In a bizarre response, Timberlake defiantly announced during one of his performances, “I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to absolutely f–king nobody,” before launching into his 2002 hit, ‘Cry Me a River’.

Unfazed Spears fired back on social media, challenging Timberlake to settle matters either in court or risk going home “crying to his mom“. “Do you want to bring it to the court or will you go home crying to your mom like you did last time ??? I’m not sorry !!!” she wrote.
