On the recent episode of the Unapologetically Angel podcast, Kayla Nicole spoke with host Angel about the chatter surrounding their breakup last year, 2022. “Do I look like some person who splits things?” she asked, doubling down on how ridiculous the idea was that finances led to their breakup.

Rumors had circulated that the NFL tight end was “stingy” and the pair split expenses, which Nicole finds laughable. “Do I look like I would pay 50/50 on bills?” she asked, to which host Angel Reese immediately responded, “No.“
Nicole said that at no time did she and him have a monetary problem in their five-year relationship. “That was never a problem in our relationship, but it was definitely an internet rumor,” she said, frustrated at the gossip.
Travis Kelce Had Shut Down The Rumor Way Back When It Surfaced
Travis Kelce himself had shut down those rumors way back in January 2023 when he gave an interview. He labeled the rumors as “crazy” and asked people not to believe it. Nicole also backed him up, saying, “I don’t even know why that became a thing.”

Still, while dismissing those claims, Nicole suggested that other women should do whatever they want to look after their relationships. “To each their own,” she said. “If people like splitting the score with their man, I think that’s the right thing to do. I don’t do that.”.
Kelce and Nicole dated from 2017 till May of last year, and their breakup reanimated the rumor mill. The NFL star has since moved on and reportedly dallied with pop sensation Taylor Swift over the summer of 2023, which was confirmed in September.
