The experience was just as fun for Kelce as it was for the fans to witness. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end had a “blast” making a surprise appearance at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert in London. The star enthusiastically recounted his onstage experience during a recent episode of his ‘New Heights‘ podcast. Here’s what he said.

Travis Kelce’s Appearance At Taylor Swift’s London Performance Was His Idea
Travis Kelce ‘s surprise appearance at the London Eras Tour has to be one of the most exciting highlights of the phenomenal tour. Like the attendees, Kelce also seemingly enjoyed it fully well, as he noted how “very unlike” him it was to “be a ham.”
Speaking on his podcast about the experience, Kelce shared his excitement, saying, “I was up there with three professionals. You can do no wrong with Taylor on stage. [I kept telling myself], ‘Do not drop the baby. Hold onto the baby.’” He explained to his brother and co-host, Jason Kelce, how the cameo came to be, revealing that he was the one to “initially mention it” to his girlfriend.
“I was like, ‘How fun would it be if I just rolled out on one of the bikes during the ‘1989’ era?’” he recalled saying to Taylor. “She started laughing and was like, ‘Would you seriously be up for doing something like that?’ I was like, ‘What? I would love to do that. Are you kidding me? I’ve seen the show enough. Might as well put me to work here.’”
He further asserted that Swift found the “perfect part of the show” for him, while ensuring it was “the safest option.”

Travis Kelce Says He Felt “Tiny” On The Stage Performing Alongside Taylor Swift
Travis Kelce’s idea of introducing himself on Taylor Swift’s stage worked like an absolute charm. Concertgoers were astonished, to say the least when Kelce appeared onstage during the ‘Tortured Poets Department‘ set transition. Dressed in a custom suit and top hat, he carried Swift across the stage bridal-style before setting her down on a red bed.
“When everyone [in the crowd] found out that it was me — because it took a second for everyone to figure it out — that moment was pretty jarring,” Kelce said about the experience. “I was just like, ‘Oh shit.’ And you don’t realize how big that damn stage is. It is easily as big as a football stadium … it’s way bigger than I could have ever imagined.”
“It was an absolute blast,” he continued. “It was such a fun, playful part of the show, and it was like … the perfect time for me to go up there, just be a ham and have some fun — not only with [Swift] … but the crowd and really try and get everybody excited for the rest of the show. It was awesome.”
The star also revealed that he was constantly reminding himself not to “f–k this up” while carrying her on stage. While Swift maintained her character, Kelce couldn’t hide his smile noting that he felt “tiny” on the stage. Before launching into ‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart’, Swift also made sure to subtly blew her beau a kiss on the stage.
