She was nominated in the category of Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture in Drama category for her portrayal of Priscilla in Sofia Coppola’s film. Although Spaeny could not get her hands on the prize, she walked away with a priceless memory of Swift.
Cailee Spaeny Was Star-struck By Taylor Swift At Golden Globes
The Golden Globe Awards night was full of laughter, gossip, and victories. Many celebrities left the stage with awards, while others left the event with cherished memories. One among them was Cailee Spaeny who did not take home a trophy at the 81st Golden Globes but shared a star-struck moment with Taylor Swift. The ‘Priscilla’ star revealed her fan girl moment with Swift to ET, saying, “Oh my god. I was freaking out.”
Caliee Spaeny also added, “My friend’s like, ‘Tonight’s the night. You’re meeting her’. I’m like, ‘I don’t know what to say’ and she was so cool. Like, oh my god, the nicest person ever.” She recalled the conversation with The ‘Lover’ singer: “She was like, Oh my god, how are you? Like, she just dove right in. She’s such a pro. She was like, ‘Can I have a picture with you?’ I was like, ‘Oh my god.'”

Cailee Spaeny Brought Priscilla Vibe To The Golden Globe Awards
Cailee Spaency channeled her Priscilla energy at the 2024 Golden Globes in a stunning floral custom Miu Miu tea-length dress. Her minimal look is straight into the film’s era and aesthetic from 1950s debutante Sweetheart, with a short bob inspired by the same decade. Keeping short of going mawkish was the diamond necklace and earrings by the Italian jewelry house Bulgari.
The ‘Pacific Rim Uprising’ actor also took a moment to celebrate her fellow actors and also the cast of ‘Oppenheimer’. Cailee Spaency shared, “I’m overwhelmed by all the people I look up to in this room. I’m staring at, there’s Robert Downey, Jr. and Emily Blunt looks so gorgeous, and there’s Florence Pugh! Anyway, I just hope it’s a great night of celebrating films. It’s been such a, you know, a whirlwind for our industry this year but we’ve had a lot of highs and I think just coming together and getting to celebrate film, I think people are really excited for film again.”
