“They Are So Mad That Donald Trump Won”: Elon Musk Fires Back At ‘SNL’ After Dana Carvey’s Mockery Of Him

Donald Trump‘s win as the US President has come as a shock for many. The results were highly unpredictable, with the odds of his rival Kamala Harris winning also fair. Many celebrities endorsed both candidates during the campaign, with most rooting for Harris. However, the most significant support that Donald Trump had was from Elon Musk.

After the elections, ‘SNL‘ mocked both the candidates on the latest episode, also not sparing Elon Musk. Dana Carvey made fun of the Tesla CEO with a thick Australian accent and awkward moves that were on display when Musk joined Trump during a Pennsylvania rally. Musk is now hitting back. Here’s what he said.

This Sunday, Elon Musk did not hold back as he took to X to take shots at ‘Saturday Night Live‘ and Dana Carvey’s most recent impression of him. The billionaire didn’t think much of the post-election cold open from the show, one that features Carvey reprising his Musk impression in a skit based on Donald Trump’s election win.

Musk, who is himself a host on ‘SNL‘ since 2021, attacked the show in a series of posts on the platform. “SNL has been dying slowly for years, as they become increasingly out of touch with reality,” he wrote.

He added, “Their last-ditch effort to cheat the equal airtime requirements and prop up Kamala before the election only helped sink her campaign further,” referring to last week’s controversy about the FCC’s equal time provision and Harris’s visit in the show.

Commenting on Carvey’s characterization, Musk said, “Dana Carvey just sounds like Dana Carvey.” Musk also hinted that there was bitterness over Donald Trump’s triumph when he mentioned, “They are so mad that @realDonaldTrump won,” he said.

Elon Musk has never been away from controversies, be it political or otherwise. Come elections, he seemed like he tightened his seatbelts and dived right in. Now that he is in it, he is not backing away from dealing with the criticism for Donald Trump that continues despite his win.

The ‘SNL’ episode that Musk was responding to was laden with shots at both Trump as well as his supporters. Comedian Bill Burr hosted Saturday’s episode, as he told his audience how happy he is that the elections are finally over. “So psyched that this election is over. Took forever,” he said.

Everybody knew who they were voting for four years ago and then they just drag you through a year and a half of this stuff,” he added. He also went so far to satirically suggest women contesting against Trump to “whore up” their clothing choices so as to win.
