    Traci Braxton Passes Away At The Age of 50 Due To Esophageal Cancer

    In an unfortunate turn of events, singer Tracy Braxton has passed away at age of 50. Toni Braxton, elder to Traci announced the news on Saturday through Instagram. Traci Braxton was fighting a battle with cancer for the past year. An early report of her demise by TMZ confirmed that Traci was surrounded by family and friends in her last moments.

    Toni Braxton, informing about Traci’s demise on Instagram, posted a photo of her siblings. In the caption, she wrote, “It is with the utmost regret that we inform you of the passing of our sister, Traci.” She continued, “Needless to say, she was a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and a respected performer. We will miss her dearly.”

    “Traci passed this morning as the snow was falling, our angel is now a snowflake. We ask that you respect our privacy as we plan to send her home with love, celebrating her life,” the singer added. “We are family forever.”

    Moreover, Kevin Surratt, Traci’s husband also confirmed the news in his statement. “We have come to a time where we must inform the public that after a year of privately undergoing a series of treatments for Esophageal cancer our beloved Traci Braxton has gone on to glory,” Surratt said.

    Braxton was a celebrated artist who excelled in multiple fields. Following her hit single Last Call, she released her solo debut album “Crash and Burn” in 2014. Furthermore, she released her second album On Earth in 2018 that included guest vocals from her sisters Toni, Towanda, and Tina.

    In 2011, Traci appeared on her family’s hit reality show “Braxton Family Values” and continued in it until 2020. Moreover, she worked in the 2018 movie Sinners Wanted and further in The Christmas Lottery. Traci and Kevin Surratt also appeared on the third season of Marriage Boot Camp in 2014.
