After acing it on the football field, Travis Kelce is now tackling the world of scripted TV. The NFL star, known for his unforgettable reality TV stint in ‘Catching Kelce‘, made a shining acting debut on Wednesday in FX’s twisted drama ‘Grotesquerie‘, and it was surprisingly brilliant. Well, for this show at least.
And when we thought that, by some miracle, episode 3 couldn’t get any better, Kelce gave us a special present toward the end. While there has been heavy speculation around his role in Ryan Murphy’s show, it has finally revealed what character the NFL star is playing.
Travis Kelce Finally Reveals His Role In Third Episode Of ‘Grotesquerie’
Taylor Swift’s beau Travis Kelce has been all over the headlines for several reasons. While his Super Bowl win and the high-profile relationship with the pop sensation have earned him ample limelight, the NFL star is now venturing into the world of entertainment.
Ever since he announced he announced he’d be a part of the highly anticipated ‘Grotesquerie‘, fans have been eager to know more about it. Well, the wait is finally over, as it is now revealed that Kelce is playing an orderly named Ed Laclan, whose timing couldn’t be more impeccable in episode 3 of the show.
Ed swoops in right after a rather awkward moment between Lois, the show’s hot mess, and Nurse Redd, whom Lois once accused of getting a little too cozy with her comatose husband.
Thankfully, Kelce’s Ed is the saving grace in this strange, strange world. Winking warmly and with a dash of great wisdom, he tells Lois, “You’re too drunk to drive home!”— which she vehemently ignores. This further leads to Lois crashing her car into a pole and waking up handcuffed to a hospital bed.
Here’s where things get interesting: Ed just happens to be the orderly assigned to her. And after relatively little persuasion, he helps her plan an escape. And once again, we see a flirtatious little exchange over whether she needs help changing out of her hospital gown — over giggles.
Travis Kelce’s Character May Have Some Dark Secrets
However, beneath the otherwise serene exterior of Ed, there is a mystery. Or is he even really a person? When Lois says the garden outside looks “like heaven,” his comment — “It sure is, but we’re not allowed out there” — raises some heavy eyebrows.
Then, of course, anyone who’s ever spent time in a hospital really needs to know what brand of detergent they use on the scrub suits to get them looking this clean.

Besides, we have a laundry list of suspects over who killed the patient and each of them has suspiciously sharp suturing skills. First and most apparent is Nurse Redd, except then there’s Father Charlie, who whips himself up stitches. Not to mention Lois herself, impressing us with her turducken skills and clearly a little too cozy with needles and threads.
In this brilliant episode, Kelce may have depicted exactly what he would bring to the acting world, and must we say, he did not fail to impress.
