This year’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) Benefit honored the talented actor, Samuel L. Jackson. Several celebrities paid their respects to the veteran actor in the benefit. However, Walton Goggins revealed he respected Jackson not only for his acting career but also for being a friend in need.
Goggins and Jackson have paired up several times for films in the past. In his speech, Walton recalls getting nervous on the sets of ‘The Hateful Eight’ and how Samuel calmed his nerves. It was the pep talk Walton or anyone could have anticipated.

The MoMA benefit, presented by Chanel, was held in honor of Samuel L. Jackson on October 23. Walton Goggins entertained the gathering by telling humorous anecdotes about the actor. He recalled rehearsing for ‘The Hateful Eight’ with Jackson before director Quentin Tarantino decided to make it a film.
He said, “When we were doing rehearsals for ‘The Hateful Eight,’ this was before it was going to be a movie and we were just going to do this stage read, I was running a day late.”
“Quentin looked at me and said, ‘Alright, we’ve been here for a day, Walton. You’re up. Are you ready?’ Sam looked at me and saw the look on my face and saw the fear in my eyes.” Walton continued, “With such love in my heart, he leaned over and whispered in my ear, ‘You’ve got this, motherfucker.’ It’s all I needed to hear.”
Walton Goggins Revealed His Son Fined Samuel L. Jackson For Swearing
Among the stories Walton Goggins told, the one he found most hilarious was when Samuel L. Jackson met Goggin’s son for the first time. He began, “One of my favorite Sam stories is actually the day that my son met Sam for the first time. It was on the set of ‘The Hateful Eight’ and my family was coming to work that day.”

“My five-year-old dressed as Jango Fett on his little scooter came riding up and just slid to a stop in front of Sam. He said, ‘Do you know who I am?'” Walton continued, ” Sam said, ‘Yeah, I know who you are. I cut your head clean off….No, you did not.’ Sam said, ‘Yes, I fucking did in ‘Star Wars.'”
Thereafter, Walton’s son asked Jackson for $5 for swearing. Walton laughingly said, “Sam reached into his pocket, pulled out a $50 bill, handed it to him, and said, ‘This ought to fucking cover it.'”
