Fame is a two-edged sword. Celebrities who are loved immensely by thousands of people across the world are also always at a threat of getting attacked by unstable haters. One such horrifying incident recently sent Nick Jonas running off the stage while performing live after he sensed that he might get killed.
During the Tuesday night concert of the Jonas Brothers in Prague, Nick could be seen frantically running off the stage mid-performance while gesturing something to his security officials. While the situation was later managed and the singer was safe, the move was highly alarming. Here’s what happened.
A Laser Sets Nick Jonas Running For His Life During Live Performance
The Jonas brothers were delivering a stunning performance during a concert in Prague, when the green beam zeroed in on Nick, making him flash a “time out” sign and dash away. Scared that he might be a potential target of a sniper, the singer got cover at the O2 Arena where the concert was held.

The performance had to be stopped for several minutes as security scrambled to take control of the laser’s source. However, it was later confirmed that the laser pointer was a silly act by a fan. According to an O2 Arena spokesperson, “The use of a prohibited laser pointer by the person meant that The Jonas Brothers’ performance had to be interrupted for several minutes. The organizing service responded to this fact.”
The band went on with their show soon after the fan carrying the laser was caught.
Concert Threats Have Become A Recent Norm
The Jonas Brothers camp hasn’t yet commented on the incident, but needless to say, Nick wasn’t too thrilled about being targeted. It’s not just Nick, though, who has faced this kind of incident. Rowdy concertgoers are becoming ever more the norm — and no one has seen more of it than Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, and Adele.

Just this week, Swift publicly spoke out about having had her Vienna shows canceled due to a terrorist threat. “Having our Vienna shows canceled was devastating. I was so grateful to the authorities because thanks to them, we were grieving concerts and not lives,” she shared on Instagram.
The Jonas Brothers are closing out their ‘Five Albums, One Night‘ European tour with a final show in Krakow, Poland. We have our fingers crossed hoping that the only lasers being used would be for the light show!
