Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds are keeping their on screen chemistry alive off screen as well, as the star duo continues to promote their new Marvel film ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ Both the actors, known for their charm and hilarious chemistry, sat down for an interview to discuss their latest project, and also ended up having a short discussion on both their features in PEOPLE‘s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ covers.
Both the actors were on the cover page for the title — Jackman in 2008 and Reynolds in 2010. Here’s how they mocked each other’s covers, and what else they said about their friendship beyond their work together in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine‘.

Appearing on The View, both the actors spoke about what their friendship is like behind the curtains, admitting that there are feelings of vulnerability between them, prompting host Sara Haines to ask, “If you dig deep down, is it maybe competing covers of Sexiest Man Alive?”
Hugh Jackman promptly replied, “Don’t bring it up, we’ve done a lot of therapy.” Ryan Reynolds also chimed in as he said that “it is tough” to compete with Jackman, and it being a “weird requirement to have in a friendship.”
“When we catch up, we do assume the pose,” Jackman said, as their covers flashed on the screen behind them. Reynolds responded, “What am I doing there? That’s not comfortable.”

Ryan Reynolds And Hugh Jackman have spoken up about their friendship before and the undeniable chemistry they share, making their on screen presence even more awesome.
“The thing I’ve learned from Ryan is that anticipation of these two characters within this universe: The moment Deadpool came out, I was just bombarded with, ‘When is this movie happening?! It’s got to happen!'” Jackman recently told Entertainment Weekly.
He further turned to Ryan, adding, “There is also the zeitgeist of you and me that exists. The actual onscreen story has to deliver in deeper, wider, more fulfilling ways than what you can imagine.”
When asked about Reynolds, Jackman further added, “I see it in full bloom. His creative mind never stops and the ideas just keep coming.”
