The same year, the ‘Loki‘ actor spoke about his relationship with Swift and revealed that he was struggling with the limelight while being in a relationship with the singer.

Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston met in May 2016 and probably started dating sometime between May and June 2016. It was reported that just after two weeks of Swift’s breakup with former boyfriend and singer Calvin Harris, she was caught kissing the Marvel star, Hiddleston. A picture of them kissing also appeared on the cover of The Sun. The picture captured them sharing a romantic kiss on the beach in Rhode Island.
It was even rumored that Taylor’s new romance started when she was still together with Harris. Apparently, an Instagram video of Taylor and Hiddleston went viral. In the video, the duo could be seen dancing together at the Met Gala. The British actor told MTV in an interview, “I sat next to her at dinner that night and she was very charming, she is amazing.”

Why Did Taylor And Tom Break up?
After three months of dating, Taylor decided it was time to call off the relationship with Tom. This breakup caused a lot of controversies on Twitter. Many sources have reported that the split was mutual however US weekly confirmed, “She was the one to put the breaks on the relationship. Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was comfortable with.”
Several reports after the breakup claim that Swift was hesitant to accompany the ‘Loki‘ star to the Emmys. She was aware of the backlash that would come with such a public display. Tom didn’t listen to her concerns when she brought them up.
People also made assumptions that it was a publicity stunt as they started off as a very public relationship. Hiddleston however denied this rumor and added that they were very happy together. After their final split sources said that they will remain friends.
