During the Now Showing interview, Dwayne Johnson talked about Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ role as Victoria Leeds. He said, “I think in order to play a villain, the greatest of villains have this great quality and capacity and depth, and that’s exactly what Priyanka has.
He continued, “So it originally was written for a man… It is way cooler if we flip that over and made it a female… With Priyanka, everything is considered, every little detail is considered.”
In her homeland, Priyanka Chopra Jonas praised her ‘Baywatch’ co-star for his humility. She said, “He deserves the hype he has and deserves to be the movie star he is. He’s extremely hard working, very focused, super smart knows how to market a film, extremely gentle and super funny, which I didn’t expect, but really sweet and thoughtful.”
Priyanka added, “Like when I was coming to India we met for CinemaCon, it was his idea, he told me can I send a video for the press and for the country I feel really bad that I cannot come. He definitely deserves the love he gets.”
